JSURFER - Visualization of algebraic surfaces

JSURFER
jSurfer is an implementation of the SURFER program for Java. For this, the raytracer was written from scratch by Christian Stussak (Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut Oberwolfach) – for the IMAGINARY exhibition. A first version can be tried here:

Control
Turn the surface with the mouse, zoom with the mouse wheel or the arrow keys. The formula is a polynomial equation in the three variables x, y and z. If there is a syntax error within the formula, the input field will be shown in red colour. The solution set of the equation (algebraic surface) will be automatically shown.
Examples
Try the following formulas:
x^2+y^2+z^3-z^2
x^2-x^3+y^2+y^4+z^3-z^4
x^3+y^3+z^3+1-0.25*(x+y+z+1)^3
x^6+y^6+z^6-1
...
Download
You can download the Java version (for standalone use) or a Mac bundle to be copied in your application folder on the Surfer Download Page.
